Candy Addicz

Candy_Addicz.mp3
One of my favorite tracks for the album.

The music was mixed and recorded as a whole track. Then I recorded the vocals over the instrumental mix. I did this because I had acidentally reformated the hard drive on my 8 track, and lost every thing I had recorded except for a few tapes I made of experimental mix downs, which wee primarilly instrumental.

The mixes were all kept on 100% OG maxell audio cassettes, so this gave the otherwise entirely digital recording a nice touch of analog warmth.

This song and Why Even Bother? are the only tracks left from those original sessions.

Nicole Chattah, aka, Nicole Storey sings on "The Subliminal Messenger."

I totally lucked out that Nicole was in town and that I got to record with her. I think I lured her into recording on the track after recording a mini EP for her. I don't know what became of that record. The masters to it were recently stolen, maybe to one day be recovered on some jingle jangle morning.
